This summer, Chef Gina Pagan-Vazquez will be hosting her very first cooking camp in Dutchess County! With her desire to encourage each child's potential in the kitchen, Chef Gina plans to teach students a few baking and cooking skills while making some of their favorite recipes this summer. In this family-style setting, Chef Jr's of any age with some experience and interest in cooking are welcome. Students will work together and individually to make the recipe set for the day and enjoy at the end of class. During each class, students will learn culinary terminology, recipe conversions and execution, proper kitchen equipment usage and maintenance, and post-class cleaning.
Pre-register here! Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure your child's station. Each session is $275 per child. If registering for both sessions, there is a $50 discount for a total of $500 for both sessions.

Ideally, each class should take about 2.5hrs long, followed by clean-up. Some recipes will take longer than others, while some will allow time for educational instruction.
For every class, each student is asked to wear closed-toe shoes and long hair tied back. Devices are recommended to be left on the storage shelf upon arriving as to prevent damage during class, however, the student are welcome to take photos. An apron will be provided for each student as well as a gift which includes a shirt. Please have your child wear the shirt on the Friday of their session.
Each session is $275 per child. If registering for both sessions, there is a $50 discount for a total of $525 for both sessions. Same discount is available for multiple children. Therefore, save $50 for every two classes registered.
Chef Gina is looking to offer a mentorship to one teen chef for each session.
Does your Chef Jr have some experience in the kitchen? Likes to help others and lead by example?
To encourage their potential, Chef Gina is offering a mentorship opportunity for one Chef Jr per session to attend the class free of charge as they assist with class set up & break down, encouraging other students to follow along, and demonstrating any skills they would like to highlight during a recipe, such as helping with the folding technique when mixing instead of stirring.
If you are interested, please send an email to chefgina@personalplatesllc.com to discuss further.
This is a family business! Parents are encouraged to join if possible! Some students are shy and prefer to have their parent help make the introduction, even if just for the first class. To assist in making the single portion, there is no additional fee, however, if you would like to join in the fun, please register yourself also! Have a little sous chef? No worries, I will too! My teen chef/sitter/amazing big-brother will be able to assist you also.
The kitchen is reserved until 6pm and Chef Gina can stay to assist any parents who may need the extra time buffer. Simply send a message directly via email in advance.
Any current value of the gift certificate can been redeemed and deducted from the price of the session(s).
While Chef Gina will try to accommodate as many dietary preferences as possible, please reach out if there is something in particular that may assist with being able to attend a class.
For example, those who are gluten free but are attending the cooking camp will be able to learn how to make pasta from scratch using 00 flour, however, if requested in advance, a boxed gluten free option can be purchased so they can still enjoy the meal; they must, however, be able to be around not just not able to consume it.
Please be sure to read the planned recipes for the week and indicate all allergies upon registering. A list of ingredients used can be provided if needed.
